I just love making these cute little crayon tote bags. This measures 15x15 and the slots are one inch for the crayons. I made this bag for a friend whose kids carry their crayons in plastic bags everywhere. This would be perfect for them. I love the fabric which I got at Hobby Lobby and it went together so well. Just need the right time to give it to her. I used the tote bag belting as the handle as it is a little more sturdier to carry the coloring books. I made extra pockets to hold other items in the bag also. What do you think?

Cowboy Crayon Tote Bag Holder
Crayon Tote Bag Holder Tote Bag

Since making tote bags, I have decided that making a tote bag with crayons would be perfect for the mom on the go. This bag measures 16X16 and holds 24 crayons perfect into the one inch slots that I have made across the middle. Front and back. The inside holds about 5 coloring books. Now, my friends kids dont have to carry a plastic bag to carry their coloring supplies in. They can use this bag. See you next time.
Flowered Girls Flap Purse
All of a sudden I am into making purses, tote bags, and just about anything to carry things in. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone of making quilts to making little things. I am learning as I go, but at the same time, I'm having fun. This is a purse I saw on Pinterest, I will be back later to add the ladies name. I added a snap for a closure and my piping for the first time. It was a little confusing at first, but after doing it, I'll be making more of these. I just love the bright colorful designs of this bag.

Penguin Nine Patch Block

A friend of mine was having a baby and her nursery was Penguins. I decided to make her a baby quilt in Penguins. I'm lucky to have found any penguins in the fabric stores, saw alot online but didnt have time to do that. I needed it now. I ended up finding this print at Joanns. I loved how this came out, as my friend did too. Back to more sewing, see you soon.
Hanna Montana Bandana Quilt
I saw these Hanna Montana bandana's at Hobby Lobby for 10 cents each. I bought all 8 of them and decided to make a lap size quilt out of them. They arent the best things to work with, as though they werent the easiest to iron. Every time I would iron the wrinkles out the image shrunk. Weird. So I only used 6 of the bandanas. I used some old fabric for the backside and it worked out great. I dont know what I'm going to do with it though, maybe hang onto it until I know a little girl who likes her. Talk to you later.
Deer Log Cabin Quilt
WOW1, It's been that long since I have been keeping up on my blog. Almost 2 years. Lots of things have been happening and little time to keep up with it. I will try and keep it up as that I have been doing quite of bit of sewing lately. I wanted to make something special for a friend of mine whose into hunting and outdoors. So, I made him this Log Cabin quilt. It has deer in it and it worked out great. This is a lap size and I just used a basic quilting stitch. I wanted to get it done in a timely manner. Have a wonderful day.

OU Rag Quilt Purse

I love making these rag purses. So fun and so fast! As I mentioned before, I have had been doing zumbathons around our area to help raise money for great causes. This one was for Adoption. My zumba buddy and I had shirts made that said Adopt on them. I was asked to see if I can make something for the auction beforehand. I said, yes. I love helping in any way I can. I decided on the rag purse. The person who won it, loves it. This was easier to work with than the Bronco bag that I made for my sister. I think its because the wording on it is smaller. Anyhow, after this was completed, I sprayed it a little bit with stiffner to make it form a shape. Worked out great and it sold for $45. Looking forward to making more of these bags. Have a wonderful day.
